Continuous measurement of arterial pressure (KMAT)
Out-of-office measurement of arterial pressure (AT) is carried out with an AT holter and self-measurement. Continuous measurement of arterial pressure (KMAT) implies 24-hour monitoring of its value. With the help of a small wearable device with an upper arm cuff, continuous measurement is possible during the day and night hours. The device is programmed to measure every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during the night. After recording, all AT parameters can be analyzed, such as maximum and minimum systolic and diastolic AT, average day and night AT, average total AT and AT during individual activities. Measurement results may be unreliable in case of irregular heart rhythm, tremors, artifacts caused by movement or weak pulse. All patients were divided into two groups. The first group has a difference in day and night values > 10% and is labeled as dippers, and the second group has values < 10% and is labeled as non-dippers. KMAT is recommended to anyone who has ever measured an elevated AT value. After starting the treatment, KMAT serves to control the effect of the chosen therapy.
